Steve is the Managing Director of our Transaction Advisory Group (TAG), and CEO of Sandy Dunes Advisors.

Steve has 28 years of experience with executive leadership, profit and loss management, and venture capital fundraising experience. He is well-versed in all aspects of sales, marketing, and client service. His experience as an entrepreneur has given him both buy-side and sell-side experience working with venture capital and private equity investors.

Since 2018, Steve has consulted to InsurTech start-up clients in Chief Revenue and Chief Client Officer roles. Working directly with CEOs and Founders, his focus has been on developing, redesigning and executing growth strategies, securing venture  funding, creating and overhauling vision and company missions, dissecting and improving pitch deck effectiveness, as well as general executive team advisement. In addition, he is an angel investor in several startup enterprises.

Previously, Steve joined the executive team at Keais Records Retrieval (now Ontellus) in 2006. From 2006 to 2017 he served as an operating executive, co-owner, President and Board Member.  Since 2018, he has served solely as a member of the Board of Directors. Ontellus has now become the industry’s largest pure play records retrieval company,

Steve began his career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, spending 13 years in Chicago and Louisville.  He started in the management training program and advanced through the organization to manage multiple offices, ultimately leading a territory of 26 locations and 200 employees.

Steve has a BS, Economics from Marquette University and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
